Leadership Developments at SVPS

Please see the letter below from the SVPS Board Chairman for updates on the ministry.

Dear Friend of SVPS,

I am writing to update you on leadership developments at Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services.

For the past six months, SVPS President Lisa Hosler has taken time off from the ministry to support and care for her husband Ron, who was diagnosed with brain cancer late last summer. Lisa and Ron have expressed deep appreciation for the prayers and practical help they have received from the Body of Christ.

Lisa is continuing to serve Ron through his ongoing chemotherapy treatments and is extending her leave of absence from SVPS.  While we are uncertain of the timing of her return to SVPS, both Lisa and our board of directors look forward to that day.

To ensure the ongoing stability and forward movement of the ministry in the interim, the board of directors has appointed Kati Swisher, Vice President of Stewardship and Resources, to serve as Acting President in Lisa’s absence. Kati has served in a variety of leadership roles at SVPS for 25 years, has been capably covering Lisa’s responsibilities over the last months, and embodies a passionate commitment to the gospel and life. We are confident that God will continue to lead SVPS through Kati and our team of seasoned and skilled staff.

As Ron and Lisa walk this painful and difficult journey together, we continue to trust God’s tender care for them and ask for your prayers. (The Hoslers are sharing updates and prayer requests at www.caringbridge.org/visit/ronlisahosler.) We also ask for your prayers for the women, men, and teens that we serve.

Thank you for championing the gospel of Jesus and the sacredness of human life with us.

In Christ,

Barry Naum

SVPS Board Chairman
